The FT promptly quotes the Cambridge Bitcoin Energy blah blah blah as a source. Another great lie!! Who sponsors that pile of nonsense?? Why, it's our old pals the BIS and the IMF and the World Bank and all the other tradfi crypto hating kings you can think of.
NOT in the FT, tho actually in the Cambridge report, all the BTC emissions is only about 50% of all the emissions for MINING gold. Hey, how about all the emissions for STORING gold, TRANSPORTING gold, TESTING gold, safeguarding gold, etc etc etc!!
The Cambridge report, link below, sneaks in a couple of whoppers ( not, of course, in the #$(*$&#$(*&!!! FT.). One, they claim that all the miners fleeing from China actually made the energy consumption less green. THAT is just a BALD FACED LIE!!! Miners went to places with cheap but remote hydro electrics.
Another lie from Cambridge - their methodology generalized ESG ratings by gross location. So they disagree with the real ESG ratings of BTC mining by a LOT!! 
Then Lex reveals their inner hate for Bitcoin with LOADS of neggy spin. LEX says BTC believers don't want to go to PoS for "religious" reasons.
Funny, earlier FT articles stated that ETH is now centralized!! LEX of course won't mention this very real concern. cuz it might weaken BTC!!! they hope they hope they hope!!
Incredibly, LEX states maybe BTC prices would go down if they shifted to PoS!! Well, yeah, because no one would trust the system anymore, it would lose its decade of perfection.
