The Bitcoin (BTC) market started this Friday (14) quoted at US$ 50,668.33, with an advance of 4.78%. In Brazilian Reais, the price is equivalent to R$ 268,977.96.
However, the subject of the moment is Dogecoin (DOGE). In the last 24 hours, DOGE has advanced 36.7% and is quoted at US$ 0.528, or R$ 2.81. Two recent news items have positively impacted the price: talks by Elon Musk and a listing announcement by COINBASE (NASDAQ:COIN).
Tesla's (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO (SA:TSLA34) stated that he is working with DOGE developers to improve transaction efficiency. The statement adds to what was said on Wednesday (12) about Tesla looking into adopting other cryptocurrencies after withdrawing payments with Bitcoin.
In addition, Coinbase said it may list DOGE in six to eight weeks. The set of information promoted the skyrocketing of the cryptocurrency treated as a meme.
It is also worth noting the surge of Ethereum (ETH), which has advanced 10.48% in the last 24 hours and is quoted at $3,996.64. In reais, the largest altcoin in market value registers R$ 21,273.47 in price.
Cryptocurrencies soar
XRP is another cryptoactive performing well on Friday, posting 11.54% gains. Also on the double-digit appreciation team are Ethereum Classic (25.89%), Chainlink (10.06%), Stellar (18.09%), and THETA (12.18%).
Litecoin, Cardano and Bitcoin Cash edged into double digits, with respective positive performances of 6.94%, 7.08% and 8.41%. Exchange tokens Uniswap and Solana also entered the "green group," jumping 5.12% and 4.76%, respectively.
Rounding out the largest cryptocurrencies by market value, Internet Computer, EOS and Polkadot recorded respective positive moves of 6.87%, 9.67% and 7.39%.
