Nomad Capitalist is the channel of Andrew Henderson, who discusses how to move overseas, how to live almost anywhere in the world either by getting other passports, permanent residencies or even setting up businesses, investments and the like in other countries.
As Andrew says, staying in Western countries such as Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, United States or Canada means high taxes, potentially lower freedoms and certainly less services. Western media likes to say the high taxes are because of the high standard of living in these countries. It increasingly seems that this is no longer the case. There are many countries that will welcome hard workers, those with businesses or already have wealth and are willing to place it into countries that encourage business, support freedoms and have small government that leaves you alone.
So if you are living in the West, paying almost 50% tax and see your freedoms, including freedom of speech, freedom of movement increasingly curtailed, including the spectre of the West introducing a CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) then I would highly recommend watching some of the Nomad Capitalist videos. Many people move states, provinces or regions. But many never think of changing county. And most of these countries have both lower taxes and better services.
Perhaps it is time to at least consider the options of living overseas. Consider getting permanent residency somewhere, or even a second passport? It will increase your freedoms, particularly if there are further lockdowns or COVID restrictions as an example.
