Get on the hype train! How to buy crypto NFT’s on WAX.
Some of you may be wondering what is WAX, how can I get some, and where do I sign up? I am here to give you a quick rundown on buying NFT’s on WAX network.
First of all some people may be wondering what is an NFT? NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token. It is basically a file that is connected to the blockchain so you can prove ownership of it. You can buy or sell NFT’s anytime on WAX. Think of NFT’s like buying a piece of artwork and being able to buy or sell it. Or buying a Pokemon card and being able to buy or sell it.
In order to buy NFT’s you are going to need to create a WAX wallet. The WAX wallet does not require KYC and is very quick and easy to setup. You can sign up for one here: https://all-access.wax.io/ .
Once you have created your WAX wallet. You will probably want to buy some NFT’s. To do that you will need to buy some WAX cryptocurrency. This is the native token of the WAX network. To buy WAX simply click on the menu at the top right and then select “Buy WAX”. You can buy WAX directly with a credit card. Or you can always buy WAX on another exchange and send the WAX to your wallet.
Another thing I will show you is how to view the NFT’s you currently own in your inventory. Although you won’t have any yet, to view the NFT’s you own click the menu on the top left. Then select “NFT’s”. This will be useful later.
Since your inventory is empty. You will want to buy some NFT’s. To do so I recommend two dApps. (dApps stand for decentralized application.) The two dApps I recommend using are Waxplorer and Atomic Market. You can use either one. To access these dApps you can open the menu on the top left and select “dApps”.
I have circled the two I recommend in the picture. Click one of them to open it.
In this example I have clicked on Waxplorer. You can use any marketplace you wish. Once you open Waxplorer or another dApp you can go ahead and login.
When you login you will need to select “WAX Cloud Wallet.”
After that you may need to Approve the action. Go ahead and click approve.
Now that you have WAX in your wallet and you know how to connect to a dApp/Marketplace. You should be able to easily browse and buy and sell NFT’s.
