TZ Ventures is an organization that is founded by The four Tezos Foundations in Asia: Tezos Southeast Asia, Tezos Hong Kong, Tezos Japan and Tezos Korea. TZ Ventures "helps startups to achieve technical, business, and organisational milestones during an intensive mentoring program." Blockchain startups that build their project on Tezos, can apply to enter the program, which will work towards a "VC demo day" where the projects will be showcased to representatives of venture capital firms that are looking to invest in an early stage. The TZ Ventures program offers technical support from Tezos experts, guidance from startup professionals, marketing support and office space. Additionally TZ Ventures offers coordination and mediation in partnership opportunities and the possibility to tap into their VC network.
"TZ Ventures has a team of experienced mentors coming from prestigious backgrounds, including Kang who was formerly Head of Marketing at ICON, and Dr. Lee is a Columbia Business School alumni connected with multiple VCs and incubators. They are also the authors of a best-selling IT book in Korea, “How To Become A Blockchain Company”. This expertise will be further complemented by strategic advice provided by regional community organizations such as and starting with Tezos Southeast Asia."
TZ Ventures was launched in April 2019 and has since then been working with a large number of projects. Current projects that are part of the TZ Ventures program are:
- International remittance. Handling small scale personal remittance using blockchain, which is a fast growing market in Asia.
- Solar panel efficiency rating. This project gathers data on solar panel generating efficiency to measure profitability coming from different solar panel sites.
- E-commerce installments. Providing installment payment options for e-commerce purchases for users without credit cards.
- Logistic marketplace: Enterprise tech for safe and easy ways to book online trucking services that enable teal time tracking of shipments.
- Bus tracking app, tracking buses and trains and provides arrival information and routing optimization.
- VR real estate marketplace
- Cyber security project, providing a self auditing and compliance platform for small and medium size businesses.
- Medical records brainwaves, tracking personal medical records on brainwaves data. Providing diagnosis using statistical analysis.
- Medical records anti-aging, tracking personal medical records on aging data and providing customized health supplements using liposomal technology.
- Mobile health consultation, facilitating mobile doctor consultation among a clinic network.
- Digital sports betting.
- Ticketing and brokerage, providing a platform to sell tickets. Aiming to be the Uber of ticketing.
- Coin and doll collecting game. Inspired by coin pusher arcade games.
- Blockchain gaming platform.
July 22nd TZ Ventures will organize the first VC Demo Day where they will showcase projects from the first and second batch. (This will be a private event for representatives of venture capital firms.)
