I am unable to make a WAX Wallet because it is stuck in an infinite redirect loop.
After seeing multiple posts on the variety of NFT games built on the WAX Blockchain I decided to try playing some. First up – creating yet another Crypto Wallet. This time the WAX Cloud Wallet located at https://wallet.wax.io/.
After setting up the wallet I attempted to login and immediate got a message saying redirecting in 3 seconds. The screen flashed and then I was back on that same message. Over and over the page would redirect.
I assumed it was something I did – so I did some searches. I found a bunch of posts starting around some update happened on April 27, 2021 where this same mysterious phenomenon would happen. They said they contacted the developers and they said to clear the cache and refresh the page. It did not work and then the person posting basically said it did not appear the developers know a solution.
So then I jumped into the WAX discord channel and immediately saw other people posting about this same thing. I immediately posted asking people what the solution was. And quite a few people simply responded there is no solution and the developers don’t care. I could almost hear their frustration and resignation in their words.
This is not a good first impression on their blockchain. So until they fix this I guess I will not be able to play their games, trade on their NFT marketplace, or experience their technology.
Has anyone here experience this redirect loop? Did you find a solution?
