Dislike is the opposite of like and means in simple words as hate.
So a person can hate a post? Or maybe he may hate the writer and use the dislike button on the post to get back at them
Some hate buttons are in red to dignify danger. The giver is terming your post as harzadous.
Good writers know the pain that goes in an article however shoddy it is.
- There is research. Writers go into research spree to get points to write an article. It is a painful and breathtaking exercise. Writers try not to plagiarize and so produce their own work.
- They write. Writing is putting letters together to form words. The words have to be put into sensible sentences which should be grammatically correct and follow a certain syntax. Then the sentences make paragraphs and lastly into an article. Articles need to be appealing to the targeted audience. That is how an article comes up.
- There is publishing and it has its rules too. We search for suitable images and an eye catching title.
As the post hits the audience, it is met with a dislike!
It shows all the work put in the post was useless. You did zero work there. Ha ha ha.
You want to shout to the whole world how useless the post is.
You want to tell the world how superior you are to this writer.
Then there is the reporting aspect. You want to report to the administration how the said article or writer is fake.
We come from different backgrounds. There are people whose English is a second or third language.

Dislikes can show people who envy others.
Dislikes given in a correctional way are not bad though
