Why "Shilling" is so freaking important... (and how it works).

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that if you're reading this then there's something in the #cryptospace that has caught your attention and you're trying to figure out what's good information and what's not. What you should listen to, and what's bunk propaganda.

...And if you're familiar with twitter, then you've probably seen a shill or two.

Here's the deal.

Right now the world of crypto is the wild west, it's dangerous. The landscape is rife with scams and exploits (if you've been here long enough you're bound to have run into 1 or 2...) and people are wary, and rightfully so. The hostile environment makes it especially difficult for legitimate projects to gain traction, often coming under fire after only a few weeks of development from short minded people seeking instant gratification.

This is where shills come in.

Community support is everything early on. There's a well experienced process of development that comes with marketing spends and promotions to tell people about what they've built. Once this promotion happens, people will go and DO THEIR OWN RESEARCH. It's exactly what they we want them to do, but the question is what will they find.

Will they see a bunch of fud? Or will they see a strong community excited for the project and growing in value together?

That is the power of shill.

I'll be honest, shilling isn't easy. It requires conviction and perseverance between marketing pushes and promotions, but that's the point.

Shills hold the line with a consistent message, helping other's find their way through the chaos.

So I ask again...

When promotions and marketing spends happen and people hear about your beloved project for the very first time and start digging, what will they find? Will it be fud, or something a little more positive?

You decide.
