According to Net market share, it has a 0.05% global browser market share for desktop devices also the company claims to have over 30 million monthly active users and 7 million daily active users.
Accordingly, what's the story behind Brave, we're going to dive deeper into brave's origin.

Introduction!
Brandon Eich grew up in Pittsburgh and after getting his masters in 1985 from the university of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
He went to work for Netscape communications corporation. During those years he created a new programming language is called Javascript. Which is still today one of the best improvements in the web development scene.
In early 1998 Eich Co-founded the free and open-source software project Mozilla, creating the mozilla.org website. Which was meant to manage open source contributions to the Netscape source code.
Eich became CEO of the company in the match, 2014. But only after 11 days as CEO, he resigned and left Mozilla.
In May 2015 Eich and Brendan, a former Mozilla employee founded Brave software with the intent to create a free and open-source web browser that could block online advertisements and website trackers in its default settings.
In 2016, the company was able to raise a 4.5 million dollars ICO round that included founders fund angel propel venture partners. See Partners list below into image!

Braves browser has this technology built-in. Claiming not only to offer users more privacy but also increased speed and performance. Especially when surfing the mobile web.
According to metrics shared by Brave, the desktop version of the browser offers a 40% to 60% speed increase and two times to four times speed increase on mobile devices.
Because of its ad-blocking and script blocking features mobile. Users will also see less battery consumption and data usage.
The browser offers a variety of security and safety features as well including support for encrypted data traffic fingerprinting shields, phishing protection malware filtering, and the above-mentioned script blocking.
Brave browser is more or less a standard browser that lets users navigate to websites run web apps and display online content like other browsers. it is free to download and use. One thing to remember, site authentication information and can block online ads from appearing on sites.
It is based on chromium a google sponsored free and open-source web browser. This is the same technology Google uses for its chrome browser and Microsoft for the edge. The browser is available across many platforms including Windows Mac, IOS, Android, and Linux. As we mentioned it heavily focuses on security and speed.

Shields are one of the most important features in the brave browser. With shields, the website fights malware and prevents tracking.
So, keeping your information safe and secure by design most web browsers including Google chrome.
Focus on the collection of cookies. These small pieces of data get stored on users computers while browsing a website. In turn, these websites can remember user's past visits including browsing history.
In turn, users have a more personalized surfing experience where their favorite sites remember what they like and don't like their purchase history, and more. Companies ultimately use this information to clog user's inboxes with advertisements good and bad cookies aren't just used by websites.
Whenever users visit their online stores when using a search engine online like Google search their movements are being collected and sold to advertisers.
Unfortunately, these cookies and trackers can be dangerous and are designed to collect your sensitive information for nefarious reasons such as identity theft.
Brave shields include ad blocking fingerprint prevention, cookie control, block scripts and it doesn't collect user's personal information for added security.
However, brave lets users adjust the default shield settings, if they think, they are too restrictive. Another brave feature is speed.
Brave claims its web pages load 3x as fast as google chrome on computers and it's even quicker on smartphones. The speed bump comes largely because the browser can block ads and trackers automatically.
This means, fewer downloads are necessary when users are on the web. Moreover, it also uses up to 66% less memory and 35 % less battery.
Brave initially received funding via their ICO launch of a basic attention token known as BAT. Which is being slowly given out as grants to new browser users.
Reward Mechanism-:)
With the ultimate goal of increasing brave users and brave reward sign- ups. Which is their push notification ad system that uses back users of the brave browser can opt into the brave rewards feature.
Which sends back micropayments to websites and content creators that must first register with brave as a publisher. Users can either turn on auto contribute, which automatically divides a specified monthly contribution in proportion to the time spent or they can manually send a chosen amount referred to as a tip.
While visiting the site or creator, when brave reward ads are shown to customers the company that paid for that Ad.
Essentially, generating revenue for brave browser and it is split 70% to brave users and ad viewers and 30% to brave. The company of ads doesn't collect personal information but still considers your surfing habits to match your interests.
This information is stored on user's devices and the ads aren't intrusive. Instead, they show up as a native system notifications or background images on a separate tab.
Brave rewards locally pick which private ads to show you based on your browsing activity. Then brave uses an anonymous accounting process to confirm ad event activity, keep personal details private and ensure people earn rewards for their attention.
In addition or users can also buy or sell BAT through braves relationship with Uphold, a digital currency exchange operator.
VPN:
Finally, brave also offers a firewall and VPN service for those who want added protection on their ios device. Which is available for 9.99$ per month or 99.99& per year.

December on 2018, British Youtube content creator Tom Scott said that he had not received any donations collected on his behalf by the brave browser. In a tweet, he argued that brave had been taking cryptocurrency donations for him and that they had not been responsive to his wishes to cease doing so.
Critics stated that the system should be opt-in and not opt-out and suggest that creators begin the process of signing up with brave the company issued several updates and now the tips are held in the browser and transferred if the creator signs up within 90 days.
Otherwise, they are returned to the user. The most recent incident has seen the browser auto-completing URLs to certain cryptocurrency sites with an affiliate link.
Which earned brave money but without notifying the user as to what is going on in many countries to have laws mandating that affiliates disclose their relationship with the advertiser.
If links of this nature are posted in addition to this being an unethical practice, may have likely violated some of these regulations with their referral scheme.
When a user entered the name or URL of certain cryptocurrency sites into the privacy browser. It would automatically redirect them to that site with braves referral code appended to the URL by nance. Coinbase LEDGER and Trezor were among these sites Eich apologized for the scheme. Once it was discovered by users, stated that it had been fixed and vowed that the company would not do it again.
Brave rewards like the brave browser itself has a tiny footprint in the world and yet it's something that could catch on as people grow increasingly more concerned about online privacy and still recognize that companies need to earn money to stay in business. Whether something like this will force companies like google to look for other ways to earn big bucks remains to be seen.
