What is NYM? Breaking down Coingecko's latest airdrop

Do repost and rate:

There's a new airdrop in town and it's called NYM (NYM), and it is available on Coingecko.

It costs 50 candies and since I've got like 2,000 and have no idea what to do with them, and since I couldn't fall back to sleep this morning at 6 AM.

I signed up.

NYM is designed to maximise privacy. When you send a WhatsApp message, for example, the message itself is encrypted. But the time and date and identity of the sender and receiver are not. The idea, with MYM, is to encrypt those things as well.

That's the short version of the long story.

In order to sign up, you need to spend 50 candies, watch five videos and take a quiz, follow NYM on and Telegram, and provide a NYM wallet address.

I couldn't download the wallet they suggested, so I simply used my NYM address from KuCoin.

10,000 people will win the Airdrop and I'm confident I won't be one of them.

So far I've got a spotless record when it comes to Airdrop, in that I won zero.

The only ones I got were the automatic ones like for example revamped Luna for people who'd lost money in the original Luna.

But anyway, worth a try I guess
