One of the most important parts of any blog is the URL. It can and does literally decide the fate and future of any blogs chance to get seen or be lost in the void called the internet or web. Many new writers (and some seasoned ones) do not realize the importance and significance of the url when they create one. It literally is the key to your SUCCESS.
Tip: your url should contain a keyword associated with what you intend to blog about.
If your going to write about blockchains then that should be part of your url. Crypto, make it part of your url. Money, referal programs, finance, horses? Tuck a keyword into the url associated with your subject matter. Search engines love keyword urls. In fact, that's why many blogs don't get any traffic. The search engines look for keywords associated with what a person searched for and tries to offer the best links to the most relevant sights to whomever is searching. The url is the first thing the search engine will "see".
Tip: Once you create a url don't change it.
A url is the web address for your blog or page. Any time you've shared your blog on social media you've left a link to THAT address. If you change your blog url you will lose that link forever and that will in turn drop your blogs page rank on the search engines. So don't do it.
So, what are you going to blog about?
It's important to think about where you plan to go with your blog writing and what you feel passionate about.
Not every blogger wants to read the same thing over and over so write about what you know and like. If you blog just to make a dime you'll mis the point in blogging but if you blog about the things you enjoy then you'll be more successful than you imagined.
Just remember, your url is the OPEN sign to your blog or website, a poorly thought out url can be like forgetting to turn on your open sign on a dark night.
