People using my Trust app referral code

I unexpectedly got a fifth referral for my Trust app (AAH8FP2G). Guess it must be one of you peeps here since I haven’t broadcasted my referral code elsewhere.

The 5th referral was double happiness because I got another $25 supermarket voucher. Not a lot to begin with, but enough to buy little drops of happiness.

I have realised that as a parent with little me time, I shouldn’t stint on little comforts. So, I have started this habit of eating a Snickers bar after dinner on some days. I savour this moment of uninterrupted bliss and find that it somehow gives me some energy to push through the second half of an exhausting evening.

The M & M chocolates were my son’s request, so I indulged him.

Apparently, the toilet paper that I bought isn’t exactly the cheapest, according to my wife. But I’m so enamoured of its 4-ply sheets that I doubt I will switch brands any time soon. I’m open to suggestions though. Let me know a cheaper brand of toilet paper of comparable quality that you use in the comments below!

It’s kinda tragic that once, I posted about hotel buffets and restaurant done-ins but am relegated to grabbing few supermarket vouchers and writing about my grocery shopping conquests. But I guess every season in life has its unique flavour xP

Thank you, 5th friend, for using my referral code. Just thought you might like to know.

Queueing to pay for groceries at a supermarket is nasty business on a crowded Saturday afternoon, but I have something to while away the time because it’s rather uncanny.

You see, in the past week, 3 people have used my referral code for Trust Bank: AAH8FP2G. I remember only posting it once or twice on my Facebook last December. I seriously doubt I have posted it elsewhere. If I didn’t go all out to make my referral code visible, where did these 3 people get my referral code from? For a moment, I considered whether scammers had gotten hold of my number. But scammers wouldn’t be using my code, right?

Anyway, I finally decided to accept this incredible stroke of good luck with grace. Honestly, $30 barely makes a dent in a growing family’s household expenses in this day and age of accelerated inflation, but it did buy happiness for various people involved.

For my wife - because I used part of it to buy milk powder.

For my son - because I bought milk chocolate eggs that came with Pororo toys.

For me - because I took the opportunity to buy a few favourites (Snickers!) and other items that I haven’t never bought before because of their higher price tag.

All right, blessings counted. Time to pay for the milk powder and other groceries.
