Recently on Raidforum (a black-market for buying and selling of stolen information), a seller with a username “Mafufi” posted a sale which according to him contains data of millions of PAXFUL customers and employees (i.e. first & last name, birth date, gender, address, phone number, e-mail and passwords). He is selling this information for 1 BTC.
Soon after, Paxful has debunked the data breach rumor on a statement via Tweeter post made by their CEO Ray Youssef.
“the data they had was old employee records from a payroll site we no longer use”.
