Open-source web browser BRAVE has recorded a significant increase in the number of active monthly users, reaching 25 million active users over the last 13 months.

About a year ago, the web browser had 11.6 million active users, a number that has now doubled. Also, Brave’s daily active users also grew from 3.8 million recorded in the past year to 8.6 million. In March last year, its daily user count hit 4 million.

In a tweet, Brave Software announced:

“25.4 million monthly active users! Also, 8.6 million daily active users, and 1 million verified creators! We’re thankful for all our users, and looking forward to more amazing growth in 2021.”

A Beincrypto report revealed Brave’s optimism to continually record gains. The report stated that Brave surged 70% to 20 million active users back in November last year.

Apart from an increase in monthly users, there was also growth in Brave’s developer community. More verified creators have also indicated interest to contribute to the development of the platform. The number of verified creators has reached 1 million, as Brave noted in the tweet.

Brave has also been rewarding its publishers and creators as active members have received 26 million Basic Attention Tokens (BAT).

Brave CEO and co-founder commented:

“We look forward to bringing more innovative privacy-protecting tools to our users, and to reforming invasive Web tracking practices.”
