The twitter hack incident registered on July 15, 2020 which took over 130 accounts from prominent high profiles such Barack Obama former U.S President and Joe Biden, have new developments that confirm the hackers had access of 36 direct messages of their victims including one elected official.
This news was released Wednesday July 23 by Twitter but didn't specified who this elected official was, but local media in Netherlands reported that one prominent figure got his account compromised and his DMs accessed by the hackers.
This news was thankful brought due to an ongoing investigation conducted by Twitter security team, with this the staff of the social media confirmed that hackers had access to information containing personal information such as email addresses and phone numbers. The Twitter will continue to investigate this hacking history and next days more news will be released to the public.
The social media giant will continue working to get more security enhanced also unlock certain accounts that still on hold, to assure that all measures to maintain the ecosystem secured are on deck.
With the hackers attack last week they have spreaded on profiles fraudulent giveaways and successful defrauded more than 12 bitcoins worth at the time more than $108,000. There are voices on the internet that believe twitter hacking wasn't aleatory and that criminals just used the giveaways as diversion to steal information from those accounts.
