Ledger Owners WATCH OUT! I Just Got Texted a Phishing Link

Do repost and rate:

I just received a text message tonight telling me that my LEDGER firmware needed to be updated, and was also sent a completely bogus link with a fake Ledger site.

Fortunately, I just wrote an article on phishing hacks YESTERDAY, so I am aware of what these are, but man it's insane that here's one targeted to me the next day.

If I were to click this link, I'd be brought to a fake Ledger site which would ask me for my private keys. If I gave these hackers my private keys, then they would be able to restore my wallet in their location and literally steal ALL of my funds from my Ledger.

If you are a Ledger owner, you MUST stay vigilant and aware right now. Earlier this year, Ledger's customer database was hacked, exposing personal and private info, such as phone numbers, names, emails, and telephone numbers.

Well this is definitely the case, because they just used my full name as well as sent the text directly to my mobile phone.

The cardinal rule in crypto is NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PRIVATE KEYS. NEVER.

Ledger will NEVER ask for your keys.

I'm about to contact Ledger's customer support, and will update here with the response I receive.

Stay safe out there my friends.
