How much should you invest? Well that depends on your financial situation. But for most people that are doing ok for themselves (all bills paid, extra money to enjoy themselves) The general rule of thumb is about 15-20% of your income. based on the 50-30-20 rule of investing. 50% for all your bills (house, car, utilities, groceries) 30% on things you want, we still have to live(a night out for dinner and drinks, sporting event/show, new shoes) 20% goes towards investing.
