Bitcoin drops to $43,000. Once again on Twitter, Elon Musk responded to a user on the social network and cryptocurrency quotes consequently made significant downward movements. Bitcoin touched its lowest value in the last three months, along with Ethereum (-4.64%, $3,279), Litecoin (-5.67%, $275.01) and Ripple (-1.52%, $1.38).
THE TWEET RESPONSE
On Twitter, user @CryptoWhale wrote:
Musk replied, "Indeed".
THE STOP OF PAYMENTS
The news of a possible sale of the wallet follows that of last Thursday (here), when Musk decided to stop accepting cryptocurrency payments for the purchase of a new Tesla. The reason is related to pollution: Bitcoin requires too much use, in the mining phase, of fossil fuels. Already following this news, the price of Bitcoin had fallen to $47,000.
MUSK AND BITCOIN
Elon Musk has always been a great supporter of Bitcoin, so much so that in the past some of his choices had contributed to increasing the value of the cryptocurrency. In mid-April, for example, Bitcoin had reached over $64,000. Tesla, last February, had revealed that it had purchased $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin, with a net gain of $101 million generated by sales of the cryptocurrency in the first quarter of the year.
What's next? What are Elon Musk's intentions?
Let me know!
Bye! ??
