The beginning of this decade has started off in ways that no one imagined. Global pandemics, financial markets turmoil & bitcoin halving are all part of the equation, well all except the last one. Yet there is something else just under the surface; Crypto Scammers, Cheats and Jerks - Oh My.
What is Happening?
Unprecedented chaos yields geometric opportunities... For everyone. It's hard to argue that during the first 7 months of 2020, that opportunities have appeared.
It is true that many opportunities have disappeared as well. Record levels of unemployment, changes in social interaction and exponential reliance on remote systems are all in play.
There is something else going on as well. It is lurking under the surface waiting for every unsuspecting person.
Remember what I said, unprecedented chaos yields geometric opportunities and order.
Interaction, Connection and Others
During these times have you noticed the chaos, language and otherwise absolute vitriol seems to be at an all time high? I am a firm believer of your focus being able to rob you of just about everything.
So, what does that mean?
Let me give you an example. Like many of you, I suspect that you have operated in the public, or social media space at some point in your life.
If you have left a comment to any post or article, like many of those on Publish0x, congratulations! You're in the public space.
A Jaw Dropper
Recently, I was chatting in a forum on Telegram. In my opinion it's a great place to connect with other technologists and downright cool folk. Then something happened.
Like many other platforms, Telegram is not immune to folks reaching out directly or individually to market a wide array of products.

Well, this day was different. I think I was more shocked than anything else as I had only heard about it in the past.
There was a direct message waiting for me.
The message asked me for my seed phrase. It took me a moment to really comprehend what I was reading.
Did it really say that? Wow, who is on the other end? This is what "this" looks like?
After what seemed to be a long time, but I'm sure was less than a minute. I decided to respond.
"That's an interesting question"...
Followed with an immediate insta-report and insta-block! (For you James Woods followers out there)
Where Focus Goes, I Say It Will Go
This little kerfuffle happened a week ago and it has bothered me since. It has bothered me in the sense in that, I made an appropriate action on my part.
I notified the channel admin, and blocked on my part, yet I felt there was something else.
If this is happening to me, it surely is happening to someone else and frankly, I find it to be complete bologna! (no offense if it's a favorite lunchtime delight)
So my point in this is that there are things we need to take care of, such as make sure that others are prepared and able to deal with others whom there is no control of their actions.
Just letting everyone know about the 411 here is a step in a direction that will hopefully help avert any sandwiches from being made.
