Earlier this year, Lee confirmed that he was considering integrating MW on the Litecoin network. Additionally, LTC’s developers are planning to implement confidential transactions (CT), a privacy-focused method that uses blinding keys to hide cryptocurrency addresses and amounts being transferred.

Lee notes that while the Litecoin Github may appear to be inactive, there’s still steady progress being made to enhance the cryptocurrency’s protocol.

Lee also says that many Litecoin developers who are busily working are not very active on social media.

“Adrian Gallagher (AKA thrasher) is leading Litecoin Core development right now and has been for a few years now. You may not know Adrian well as he is not on Twitter much, but he is awesome. He quietly has been working hard behind the scenes on Litecoin Core development.”

Overall, Lee believes that the scalability issue has been addressed and that fungibility, making crypto units completely indistinguishable from another part, and privacy are next.

Says Lee,

Fungibility is the only property of sound money that is missing from Bitcoin & Litecoin. Now that the scaling debate is behind us, the next battleground will be on fungibility and privacy. I am now focused on making Litecoin more fungible by adding Confidential Transactions.”
