All of us, both crypto newbies and older ones, are falling victim to projects that have suddenly turned into a scam. There is no experience that saves you from this lately, because even with everything apparently ok, everything is reversed with time. Even so, check everything before your investment..
What to do to identify a scam project
Check your social networks - there are ways to put 5 thousand people inside a telegram group, when in fact they are bots, not real people. Compare with the number of people who follow on twitter and on all social networks of the project. Is there a stark difference from 5k on telegram to just 1,000 on twitter? keep an eye.
Check the locked liquidity - Be careful, if the liquidity is unlocked, the project owner can withdraw everything from there at any time, including the money you just invested.
3- Locked Wallets - See if the wallets that contain the highest percentages of tokens are locked, or the wallet holder can dump (sell), everything and plummet the coin.
(there are exceptions for games that need to distribute the coins, this will vary )
4- Check sales and purchases - Check sales and purchases on poocoin, if only one wallet sells and buys simulating transactions, you can be the victim of a carpet, you can buy but you can't sell, and this makes the currency always go up and keep apparently growing graph, as the contract is programmed to not only get sales from the dev.

6- Compare the amount of Holdrs - If there are 10,000 hold or currency holders, why will there only be 0,22 BNBs? this money may be being diverted little by little.
Anyway, these are some tips, perhaps the most important to check before investing and holding a project. Of course, there are more ways to add here, so that you don't fall into a hole, but I mentioned some that might help you.
Remember sometimes not all that checking is enough, the owner can suddenly change everything, and all of us, old or new, fall victim to a scam. But prevention is the best medicine.
