Okay what's the distraction? Three Anonymous assoiciated groups threatened the EU banks and... Anyone Notice The EU Banks Are Still Open? Anonymous Group FAIL! (Even the SEP sub-headline says it all)

LOL this is straight out of the 'Hall of Epic Fail's', or a complete distraction, or even a blinking practice run... Excuse me through the chuckles but let's talk about Anonymous and their two buddies in the hacktivist world. These are the kind of computer wizards who could under normal circumstances hack into the Pentagon, steal all their secrets, and still have time to make a cup of tea. And apparently, they've been getting a bit miffed lately.

You see, on the 14th of June 2023, Anonymous and their friends decided to give European banks a little kick up the backside. They said that if the banks didn't start treating their customers fairly within 48 hours, they would unleash the kind of cyber attack that would make Chernobyl look like a mild case of sunburn. But did it happen? Not exactly... Yet normally Anonymous and their buddies actually carry out actions... Yes we should question this entire event!

So majestic crypto friend's - what and who are these groups? Anonymous Group are the most well-known of the bunch... Anonymous Sudan though? Aaaanyhow... They've been around for years and are infamous for their Guy Fawkes masks and snarky online messages. Then there's the REvil, who are a bit more mysterious and don't wear any cool masks. And finally, we have Killnet, who sound like something out of a bad sci-fi movie. All three groups are anarchists who want to bring down the establishment, by which they presumably mean Starbucks...

I am not at all sat here chuckling at the thought if some CIA operative tweaking out over this hilarious cyber-fail... I mean what happened to the threat? Did it materialize into a full-blown cyber attack that brought the banking industry to its knees? Did the 'Thanos' of all Internet Viruses get unleashed on George Soros or JP Morgan? Nah nope not really. The banks basically just ignored them and carried on as usual. Business as usual for the bigwigs in their ivory towers... Maybe a couple got a twitchy bottom and implemented security protocol... And I know my bank took down online services on the 14th in the early hours for maintenance - this could have been related I do not know.

But I do say... These groups had a point. The banking industry is a bit of a screwed up economic mess. I have mentioned before that I do believe the economic death of the West is WEFing purposeful.... Alongside: Fees, charges, interest rates, dodgy dealings',  missing cash, missing gold and silver, and so much etcetera it's beyond comprehension... it's all a bit of a mystery. And then there's the added fact that some banks do actually seem to have a complete disregard for their customers' well-being. I mean, have you seen the headlines recently? Barclays, Lloyds, HSBC, all of them have been caught up in some kind of scandal or another... FTX and Silicone Valley in the more crypto world included.

On subject... BUT? Did the usually industious tech savvy Anonymous and their friends just forget that they were supposed to cause an apocalypse? I'm baffled completely - it's hard to say... Some people are saying that the whole thing was just a cover to steal money from unsuspecting victims. Which, again, wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

In fairness... The fact that these groups felt like they had to issue a threat in the first place shows that there's a problem. Cyber security is a serious issue. Also the banks have a lot to think about... We've all heard about the big hacks that have taken place over the years. The Panama Papers. The Equifax breach. Heck, even the US government got hacked by the Russians and Chinese (APPARENTLY). And if they can't keep their digital house in order, what hope do the rest of us have?

I am not panicking but... Should we all start hastily stuffing our mattresses with cash and move to a bunker somewhere in the middle of the Antarctic? Okay... I guess that might be a bit extreme. But we can start by demanding that bit more transparency and honesty from our banks and financial institutions - We can ask questions, challenge fees etc, and make sure that our money is going to good use. And if we don't like what we see, we can always take our business elsewhere...

You want me to keep going? Okay then my inquisitive education freak... So let's talk about something else. How about the fact that 2024 is just around the corner? It's a scary thought, isn't it? I mean, we might have flying cars and robot butlers by then. Or we might all be wearing tin foil hats because the aliens have taken over. Who knows?

But seriously family of the Interwebs - the future is very uncertain at the moment. And while we can't predict what's going to happen, we can prepare ourselves like a good set of Prepper's for whatever comes our way... It is clear those that some call 'Elite's', are trying to destroy everything including law and borders... We can and must make sure that we're financially secure whichever way possible... Without this being finacial advice, this is where I believe in the decentralized Cryptocurrency World and Blockchain to pull us through - also that we have a support network of friends and family, and that we're living our lives to the fullest every day... Because at the end of the day, that's all that really matters, isn't it? Making the most of this crazy, wonderful, unpredictable life.

So, my Internetling's, take care of yourselves and each other... And if you see someone in a Guy Fawkes mask lurking around your local bank, don't offer them a cup of tea... Put your VPN on!
