KuCoin has not really been in the news particularly much compared to either Binance, Coinbase, or any of the ones that have failed. But they made the headlines a few days back when their CEO decided to tweet.
All is well? Is it really
The main thing that has me concerned is the fact that they felt they needed to make this statement. If all actually is well then why concern themselves with what one or some person is saying on twitter.

The reasons for them to comment on this are not that many. The first reason I see is that the tweet in question has caused a lot of uproar among the users. Then they would need to tweet and treasure the community. But with 878 retweets and 3,204 likes I do not see that as very likely. And otteroooo has "only" +30k followers. I say only not to make fun or light of the number of followers but only in comparison to accounts that have several hundred thousand followers.
The other reason is if there actually is something going on. And this tweet is done simply to try and keep people from leaving the sinking ship. If you need an example of this look at Celsius, there CEO Mashinsky would tweet angry tweets to anyone questioning the company up until 24h before the collapse. Do this sound like someone else?
Sound like any other CEO?
So is it just a bunch of people on twitter that were able to reach critical mass and cause enough ruckus that the CEO had to step in to try and calm down the situation? Or is there something else going on behind the scenes?
At least according to some, there is something behind all the smoke. But what, we will have to see I guess. But as otteroooo says, he only investigates if it smells fishy.
