What great genius Wyckoff? The Wyckoff method was developed around 90 years ago, and is still used today for graph analysis.
Let's start with the basic rules to understand what Wyckoff said.
The law of supply and demand
Demand> Supply = The price goes up
Demand
Demand = Supply = No significant change in price (low volatility)
Soo, excess demand causes the price to rise. An oversupply causes the price to drop.
The Law of Cause and Effect
The second law states that the differences between supply and demand are not accidental, in fact there are periods of preparation.
As Wyckoff says, periods of accumulation obviously lead to an uptrend (Cause -> Effect). Conversely, a distribution period leads to a bearish period (Cause -> Effect).
The Law of Effort Against Results.
Wyckoff's third law states that asset changes are the result of effort, which is the trading volume. So if the price movement is harmonious with the volumes, there is a very good chance that the trend will continue.
