For my frens in the United States Happy Independence Day!
I hope people are having a great time with their families maybe enjoying some tasty barbeque.
Right about now, I should be chowing down on some unhealthy treats.
Then I open my wallet and realize I need to be frugal now.
I passed by a street vendor selling fried oreo zeppoles!!!
A tear rolled down my cheek as I can’t afford such culinary luxuries anymore.
Part of it was my fault, I got caught up in the hype and didn’t take enough profits off the table.
Part of it could be blamed on some of the overleveraged and grossly mismanaged market participants.
I need to deal with the consequences. Instead of some enjoying some nice treats, now I have to make do with a can of lentil soup.
Don’t feel bad though. These lean times will pass as they always do.
July 4 2024 should bring better news and we will all be closer to financial independence!
