Crypto is like trying to soar to the moon but getting burnt by the Sun as a result. It promises thrills and spills, though it has thrown us more nasty surprises than delights this year. Blockchain blackouts, frozen assets, coins plummeting literally to zero - it’s like an earthquake has befallen the crypto space. The aftershocks never end.
Still, we aren’t going anywhere. Our substantial savings may be wiped out, our egos may be bruised, but we are still DCA-ing and HODL-ing. We roll with the punches, bandage our battle scars and pivot accordingly. Finally got a cold wallet and took all coins off exchanges. Check. Finally installed 2FA on all frequently used crypto apps. Check. Finally got around to whitelisting our addresses. Check. Nothing can turn us away from crypto, it seems.
Or is it? While we have considered our exit strategy, how many of us have thought about the deal-breaker? What thing can happen that will be so drastic that we will sever all ties with crypto? The collapse of an influential stablecoin? The bankruptcy of a powerful crypto exchange that will set off a tsunami ??? An unreasonable hike in capital gains tax or draconian tightening of crypto regulations? What will make you swear off crypto?
