Train Station.
Arrival
You arrive and depart in Bakersfield on the train to and from from San Francisco and Fresno. Upon arrival in Bakersfield, simply disembark and begin to explore. Disembarking from any Upland city ground transportation immediately gives you entry into that city, without having to use a send.
Departure
To leave Bakersfield, or any city, you will need to to use a send and pay a fee usually 100 UPX or under according to the city and the player traffic volume. If you are in Bakersfield, UPX travel fare is low. From anywhere in Bakersfield simply click on the train station icon to send your Block Explorer there. You will see a Train Terminal send window, with the terminal number and price in UPX to send. Click the UPX fare. You will see the Confirm Move To window telling you how many sends you have left, before you need to get more.
If you have not done any sending or purchasing for a while, you will see the 2FA Authentication Required code, window you set up in Upland on your phone number. The code will be sent to your phone in messages. find the code and enter it into the space provided. Once you have completed your send to the station, click the terminal icon again immediately to enter the terminal. You will see a destination window.
Choose your destination. You will see the fare window. Pay the fare to board. Train fare prices are generally under 150 UPX. Travel around second tier cites is much cheaper than 1st tier cities with ground and air transportation. Travel time from Bakersfield to Fresno is under 13 min. Travel time to San Francisco is under 40 minutes.

Brooklyn
Brooklyn is the hub to Manhattan and Staten Island.
Arrival
BY BUS AND SUBWAY: You Arrive from Staten Island or Manhattan. Arrival to any city in Upland is simple on all ground transportation. Once you arrive in the city, simply click disembark to enter.
Departure
You can travel to Manhattan or Staten Island from Brooklyn. By subway to Manhattan, bus to Staten Island. Send your Block Explorer to the Brooklyn station. Click the train icon again to enter the terminal. Select your destination from the destination window that appears when you enter the terminal. Bus to Staten Island costs under 50 UPX and takes under 12 minutes travel time. Travel to Manhattan is on the subway. Subway cost to Manhattan is similar to Bus to Staten Island. Travel time by subway under 4 min.
NOTE: Even though the New York JFK airport is closer to Brooklyn on the map than it is Manhattan, you must go to the Manhattan Train Station to then send your Block Explorer to the airport.
Chicago
Chicago Ins and Outs
Arrival
Entry to Chicago on the ground is through the train or Hyperloop terminal, both which travel to and from Cleveland, Arrival by air from San Francisco and New York.
BY AIR: 
You arrive in Chicago by air from New York or San Francisco. Once you arrive at the Chicago airport, if you want to travel on to Cleveland, look to the southeast to find the Train and Hyperloop stations in Chicago. Click on one of them. You will need one send, and a little, UPX. All airports in Upland connect with direct flights. No forced stopovers required. You can send your Block Explorer to any owned property in Chicago once you arrive at the airport. Check the send fee at the upper left of a property listing when sending to all properties owned by others. If you own property in Chicago, send your Explorer there for free.
Departure
BY TRAIN and HYPERLOOP:
Send your Block Explorer to the train or Hyperloop station. Click the station again to enter. Book your fare to Cleveland. Under 100 UPX by train, usually over 200 UPX on Hyperloop.
BY AIR:
Air travel from Chicago, is to New York and San Francisco. There are three O'Hare terminals, all function the same, with the same fares and destinations. Takes about 15 minutes to New York, 50 minutes to San Francisco.
Spend one send and approx. 20 UPX to go to the Chicago airport from anywhere in Chicago. You can send your Block Explorer directly to any terminal at the Chicago Airport, if you are in Chicago. Once at the terminal, click on it again to go inside and choose your destination. Air fares, and all Upland transportation in general, can range widely in price according to passenger volume. At this writing air fares were low. They have been up to around 1500 UPX to New York and 2000 to San Francisco. When you choose your destination you will be taken to a fare window. Select the fare to board.
Cleveland
Cleveland and Chicago are the two cities with a Hyperloop connection.
Arrival/ Departure
BY TRAIN and HYPERLOOP: Simply disembark to enter Cleveland. The only transportation to and from Cleveland is Chicago. To Depart, Send to the train or Hyperloop stations. Spend one send and small amount of UPX. Click the terminal again to enter. Hyperloop is more expensive than the train, 375 UPX. Under 150 UPX on the train. Train takes approx. 50 min, Hyperloop, 6 min.
Fresno
Fresno was the 3rd city in Upland, the second city in Upland California, and the 1st second tier city in Upland.
Arrival/Departure
BY TRAIN: Arrival to Fresno by train as with all ground transportation is done when you disembark. You are then ready to explore Fresno. You arrive in Fresno from San Francisco or Bakersfield. To Depart: Click the train terminal from anywhere in Fresno. Once you are there click the station icon again to enter the terminal. Once inside you will see the destination window. Choose your destination. You will see the fare window. Choose fare to begin your journey. Travel time to San Francisco under 25 minutes. Travel time to Bakersfield under 13 minutes.
Manhattan/NYC
Manhattan, NYC has arrivals and departures from four cities. It is the hub for Brooklyn and Staten Island on the ground, and connects to San Francisco and Chicago by air. All transportation to Brooklyn and Staten Island must pass through the Manhattan Grand Central Station.
Arrival
BY SUBWAY
Arrival and Departures, is by subway to and from Brooklyn. Once you disembark at the Grand Central Station you can click the station once again to re-enter and go to one of the other two cities, or Explore Manhattan as you desire.
BY AIR:
You arrive at JFK, New York City from San Francisco or Chicago. To enter NYC, Manhattan Island, from the airport then proceed to Brooklyn, or Staen Island, you must go to the Grand Central Train Station on Manhattan.
Click on it, then click it again to enter. Once inside continue to your destination. You will need one send and a small amount of UPX to get out of the airport. You can also enter Manhattan by sending to any of your owned property on Manhattan from the airport area. If you do not own a property on Manhattan. send to a property owned by another There is always a small UPX visitor fee charged by the owner.
ON A BUDGET: Shop for a good send property. Visitor fees in Manhattan can be high, 100 UPX on some.
Departure
BY SUBWAY: Go to and from Brooklyn on the Subway. If you are not near the NYC train station you will spend a small amount or UPX to send to the station. Once at the station, click again to enter. Your only destination is Brooklyn. Your fare is under 50 UPX and travel time under 4 minutes. NOTE: Even though the New York JFK airport is closer to Brooklyn than it is Manhattan, you must go to the Manhattan Train Station to then send your Block Explorer to the airport.
BY AIR: You can send your Block Explorer from the Island Of Manhattan directly to the JFK airport. Flights are to Chicago and San Francisco. Flights to Chicago range from under 1000 to around 1500 UPX. Flights to San Francisco around 2000 to above 2500 UPX. Flight time to San Francisco about (50 minutes. DOUBLE CHECK). Send your Block Explorer to the airport area by clicking on the airplane icon on the map just SE of Brooklyn. Or zoom in and click on one of the terminals.
Once at the airport, click on a terminal to enter. Choose your destination. You will be taken to the fare window. Click the fare to board. Flight time to Chicago is about 33 minutes, flights to San Francisco about 50 minutes.
Oakland
Oakland like Cleveland and Staten Island has one way in and out by ground transportation. Oakland is on the train, to and from San Francisco..
Arrival/Departure By Train
To arrive in Oakland from San Francisco, simply disembark and begin to explore. To Depart from Oakland, spend one send to get your explorer to the Oakland train station, from anywhere in the city. Once you are at the station, click the train icon again to enter the terminal. Once inside you will see the destination window. Click on Oakland and the fare window will appear. Click the fare to board and travel to San Francisco. Travel time to San Francisco about 5 min.
San Francisco
San Francisco has the most connecting routes in Upland
Arrival
BY TRAIN: You arrive by train from 3 different cities in Upland California. They are Oakland, Fresno, and Bakersfield. Once you disembark, you are exploring in San Francisco.
BY AIR: You arrive by air from Chicago and New York. Once you have disembarked, you are in the airport area. From there you enter San Francisco by sending your Block Explorer for free to your property in San Francisco, if you own one there. Send to any owned property and pay a visitor fee, or send to the train station to continue to connecting cities. Some visitor fees, as in New York, can be high on some properties, so check before you send if you are on a budget..
Departure
BY TRAIN: From San Francisco you connect to Bakersfield, Fresno and Oakland by train. Send your Block Explorer in San Francisco to the train station, by clicking on the station icon. Then click it again to enter. Sends to all stations cost UPX. On the day of this screenshot a send to the S.F train terminal was 100 UPX. Send to the San Francisco station are from inside San Francisco or the airport. Sends to the train station may differ on any day according to player load on the sends and transportation in that Upland city.

BY AIR: From San Francisco you depart to Chicago or New York, Manhattan island. Click on the Airport Icon to enter the airport area. the airport is located south and east of the city. Or as with any airport in Upland, you can zoom into the airport and click on a terminal to enter the airport. As with every send to any transportation in Upland, you spend one of your sends and some UPX, from 100 to under 50. You will be shown the Destinations Window. Choose either Chicago or New York JFK. You will see the fare window for your city. Pay the fare to begin your flight. Flight time to Chicago under 34 minutes. About 50 minutes to fly to New York.

Staten Island
End of the line for our alphabetical, Upland city, quick reference guide to transportation.
Staten Island is like Cleveland and Oakland. There is one way in and out and one place to go. This time to and from Brooklyn through ground transportation on the bus.
Arrival/Departure
BY BUS: Disembark the bus to Arrive at, and enter Staten Island. To Depart, simply send your Block Explorer to the Staten Island bus terminal from anywhere on Staten island. Click the station icon again to enter the terminal. Remember you will spend one send and usually under 59 UPX to send to the bus terminal. Choose Brooklyn once you enter the terminal. A fare window appears. Pay fare to board. Travel time to Brooklyn under 12 minutes.
Transportation Sends and UPX Budget Tips
Here is basic info you need to know. Getting to know Upland will require you to experience every form of transportation.
Sends, UPX: Basics
- All Block Explorer sends cost one send
- Send to Upland Ground Transportation within any city, pay a UPX charge
- Sends to Properties owned by another within a city, pay a visitor fee
- Sends to your own property within a city are free
- You cannot send between cities
- In regular game play you have 11 sends (maximum).
- Participation during events may allow you to increase your maximum number of sends for the event
- Try not to fall below 4-5 sends or you could lose track and fall short.
- Be on the lookout for send arrows
- Get one to 4 sends when you click on a send arrow
- You must touch the send arrow with your Block Explorer to then click the arrow to get sends
MORE SEND TIPS
- When you see a send arrow, if you are not right next to it click on any owned, yours or another, property next to it to send your Explorer there. Click the send arrow.
- Find inexpensive visitor fees when sending on a budget if possible
- Search the entire map in the city where your Block Explorer is to find send arrows.
- If two or more block explorers are in the same proximity of a send arrow, the one who clicks it first gets the sends and the arrow vanishes.
- WARNING- Sometimes the game glitches in an event where many users are active at once. It has been known to only deliver 1 send per arrow no matter how many times you try for instance. In cases of glitches with sends or other Block Explorer functions, try rebooting if you feel a game glitch is in your way. Report all glitches on Discord.
Start with 11 sends. You never know what you might decide to do next. You may get an inspiration that costs you a few sends. That is why you should always try not to fall below3- 5 sends if you can help it. You never know when you might need to move quickly to buy property, compete in events and of course when traveling throughout Upland.
For instance, if you run low on sends, and a couple of people beat you to the send arrows you find and they vanish. Or there are no send arrows in your city (it happens sometimes), you will still have more sends to get the sends you need if you always have 4 or 5 sends left before you need more..
Visitors Fees
Happily, most properties you send to are 30 UPX or less. However definitely in San Francisco, Manhattan and possibly Chicago over time, you will find high visitor fees. You will also find UPX charges to send to the airport and ground transportation can be more expensive in 1st tier cities, than travel between some 2 tier Upland cities, Make sure you research and plan your budget so you don't spend too many sends, and too much UPX on fees you need to pay for property you want to purchase, You can run low on sends quickly by sending to too many properties, and on UPX if your money and budget is tight.

SOMETIMES at this point or during the finish of a significant Upland transaction you may see a 2FA confirmation window. when you do, confirm your transaction and proceed to your next objective. When arriving from and airport and sending to an owned property, always check the UPX fee listed at the top left of the property window if you are on a budget.
