Update on Pionex Grid Trading Bot

Do repost and rate:

Hello my Fellow Crypto Billionaires. In one of my previous posts I introduced Pionex Grid Trading Bot, this post will focus on the results which I have accumulated over the past weeks. So once again, here we go!

Grid trading bot is supposed to be one of the easiest bots to use within Pionex ecosystem and for those interested here is a thorough explanation. Since I had close to zero experience in trading and setting up trading bots I referred in all of my set-up to AI generated parameters. The only option which I altered was the amount of grids used within one bot. This was achieved by transferring AI bot parameters to manual set-up:

After that I created the bot and let it be for some time.

Results for the bots

As they say: “A picture is worth more than a thousand words”. Have some pictures which talk for themselves:

  • As you might have guessed, after the first Bot had run for some time and generated 0 transactions I clicked to me that I should increase grid amount. But to increase the grid amount I need to allocate more resources. So I transferred some additional funds.

     3. Bot army:

  • After the second Bot had worked for some time and generated some profit, I thought: “What if I diversify over multiple bots the same funds which were previously under one Bot”. As if to mitigate risks?
  • You might notice as well that the grid amount is much bigger than with the first bot, but the investment is even smaller, how come? Well it depends what you are trading. The higher value of the tradeable coin the bigger allocation of funds it requires. ADA is valued lower than FIL.

    4. Bot:

  • As you might have guessed my previous strategy sucked, so I allocated everything into one Bot once more.

    5. Bot:

  • When Bot nr 4. did not work as expected, I tried a different coin. But still the results are as they are.

Conclusion

During the trial my balance did not change much. I neither gained or lost any relevant amount of funds.

Within my 2 week trial I understood that Grid Trading Bot will not make me a billionaire, sorry boyz. Also, I understood that this type of bot will not “think” instead of you. On the bright side though, I may say that if you are a regular trader and you have certain patterns which you can see, then Grid Trading Bot might be a tool for you to use, if you do not want to make the trades on your own. It’s a machine which will work for you if you know how or where will the market move. Otherwise you better stay away from it. At this moment I have not yet decided will I continue my trials with Grid Trading Bot or move on with something different.

Lessons learned:

  • Machines are not taking over.
  • As always, do your own research!
  • Experiment with small amounts of funds, the ones you can afford to lose.
  • Do not be afraid of new approaches, try it out. If it doesn’t fit, at least you’ve tried.
