My newest love affair began in May when I finally decided to jump headfirst into the Crypto Metaverse. I bought in at the ATH for most cryptos, hopium running amuck, I was enthralled by an opportunity for financial freedom but then the Red came.
It came, it conquered, and I had fears that the green candles would never return. This all before Bloody September so I am sure no one from our community would have blamed me for tucking my tail between my legs, wiping my paper hands clean of crypto, and running back to the world of fiat. But I didn't, I held, and I bought more before knowing what hodling and buying the dip meant to the community.
I wont be so bold as to say I have diamond hands being such a novice but I am not a quitter, not with such opportunity at stake and the proverbial coding written on the wall. Crypto was for real and the choice was only to be an early adopter or woeful laggard. Bleeding reds, Bloody Septembers, green candles and Uptobers be damned, crypto was here to stay and I embraced her with open arms.
For years I had been familiarizing myself with the future of data storage, Blockchain technology. The potential was limitless; with information saved in un-editable blocks that were tied together by cryptography, the blockchain could literally only move forward and never back.
I saw the merits of converting paper and digital documents to a more secure, decentralize LEDGER system that would eliminate mistakes and threats. Yet, I had no idea of the potential of Cryptocurrency.
Up to that point, I was only vaguely familiar with the "Bitcoin's" and "Ethereum's" dominating the metaverse; they had to be mined and stored in electrical wallets, the concept was so novel to me. It was of great interest and little did I know it would become of great distinction in the world as well.
Now new cryptos are being created everyday. There are dozens of blockchains and thousands of cryptocurrencies, a wallet for each crypto, an exchange for each investor, Defi for lurkers and those who want control or have governance options.
Centralized for beginners and easy conversion to fiat, the options now abound to the point a browser will pay you in crypto for viewing adds and games will reward you with crypto for playing. Digital metropolises have been built in the metaverse. You can own a digital version of your own home on the blockchain or make an NFT of your choosing.
I self-identify as a "noobian" on this journey; there is so much I do not know but am more than willing and ready to learn. I humbly present my story to all the readers of PUBLISH0X and hope that we can learn together from the metaverse and the universe, as there's no need for them to be separate any longer. As someone who attempts to jump into the freedom of the future, as opposed to being a slave of the past, Universe, I humbly introduce you to Metaverse.
