Later this year is very possible that the current Bull Market will end and the Bear will come. This literally means that a big part of the coins we see today going up in value might lose 80-90% or more of their price. Many will vanish leaving their holders with nothing more but a memory.
So, everyone should make up their mind before the Bear market starts of what will they be keeping in the long term. I will not include Stable coins since their value is backed up by FIAT.
Bitcoin
I will always measure my crypto in Bitcoin and not in USD. This is why I'm not only keeping it, but I will be accumulating even more of It once the price starts to go down. The past teaches us that normally a bull run would start about 4 to 6 months after a halving and we have a little less than 3 years until the next one in February 2024. Which would probably mean that the start of the next bull run should come about the summer of the same year. Keeping the Bitcoin in an account that accumulates interest is a great idea. Blockchain.com wallet has such an option that I can recommend.
Cardano
ADA is a relatively old project, which has a 3rd GEN of a Blockchain and looks very promising to stay here after the Bear Market and even get x10 or more price increase. However, this doesn't mean that it will keep its price during that period as it is now. I expect that its price will be dropping by 50-60% or even more which will be a good opportunity to get into that project if you are not yet part of it. Staking Cardano is available in Atomic wallet for an APR of 5%, which is not that bad.
Energi
NRG is one of those projects that stay out of the highlights, but every single coin I got from it is free of charge - first got 110 of them from the Airdrop and the rest was generated by staking it. Their price is relatively stable compared to many other coins until this point so I don't see a big risk from keeping them. Plus they are giving great passive income when being staked. I would even consider buying more.
Crypto.com coin
CRO is the native coin for CRYPTO.COM APP and Exchange. To keep my benefits in the app, I am required to keep it. From one side, they are about to launch their own Blockchain which might lead to a price increase, and if the price drops dramatically I might want to increase my CRO holding in order to get even better benefits in the app. In general, I believe this is a solid investment that also when staked will give you an APR of 6 to 10% interest.
Presearch
PRE is one of those tokens that I earned without investment and based on its low market cap and limited supply if the search engine at some point gets really popular and more people to get involved in it the price can explode really hard it will make serious money to its holders. For me, the token has the potential to go up to $10+.
This is my top 5. There probably will be more coins that I will keep, but with smaller amounts.
Additionally, I plan to write an article on the top 5 coins that will be converting into USDT or USDC before the Bull market ends.
