This is my list of coins that I believe are overpriced and you should not invest in at the current price because you will have much more to lose than to earn. This is not financial advice, there is no guarantee that you will lose money if you buy any of those, but the risk it way bigger than usual when buying crypto.
1) Dogecoin
Currently, at around 40 cents for me, Doge is hugely overpriced and can very easily drop to previous levels of 4-5 cents and lose 90% of your investment if you decide to go in at the current price. Even if the Doge can go up to 1$ this is only x2.5 gain, against a possible 90% or more loss. Just the risk is too high and I would avoid it at any cost.
2) XRP
At this time Ripple is sitting at around $1.40 which is a good place to be, however, there is lots of news flying around the SEC's lawsuit against the company that owns over 50% of all coins. And it could very easily go both ways - drop to 40-50 cents is very possible which means a loss of 70% or more for someone who bought at 1.40.
3) Digibyte
This is an old coin that traditionally was trading for a lot less or around 1 cent for years. Currently, it's priced at 14 cents which is very near to the previous all-time high from 3 years ago. I think it is hugely overpriced and wouldn't put a dime in it.
4) Tezos
I hold some XTZ, but I don't believe it's a good idea to buy at the current price. Back in time when I was putting money in it, Tezos was attractive because of the staking with 5-6% APR that it was offering directly from your wallet. As of today, I don't see much utilization of this currency. And I am not exactly sure what could push its price much up from its current level at around $6 (7 before the correction 2 days ago).
5) Litecoin
I wouldn't put fresh money in it at the moment because we are at ATH territory and we have much more to lose than what we could earn even if it goes 20-30% up, there are a lot better investments at this time. I still hold some LTC and intend to exchange it for something a little more profitable once we go over 350, eventually.
