Todays crypto headlines begin with a rather unexpected candidate: Australia!

Australian Crypto Regulation:

The Australian government hinted at harsher crypto regulations in what is being described as one of the largest economic shakeups in the history of the Australian economy. The Australian government wishes to take crypto "out of the shadows" and to begin to include them as part of a more regulared digital framework. Additionally the Australian government has joined a large list of countries aiming to create its own digital currency, a promising sign for crypto investors.

Crypto Market Remains Shaky:

The past 24 hours have seen the crypto market remains affected by the recent dip, seeing BTC fluctuate around the 50k$ level, other altcoins appear to be following BTC with most of the market looking depressingly red. However, even during this dip promising altcoins such as Matic and Luna have seen large pumps with the former rising over 41.8% in the past week. The largest dip was experienced by Olympus, the main token of the OlympusDAO platform which saw a dip of over 39% in the past week, at a current price of 495.73$.

Visa Invites Others to Join the Party:

Visa has urged other financial institutions to join the cryptocurrency sphere, saying that: “Crypto for us is a huge new vertical and growth opportunity. And we will be continuing to focus on growing this business moving forward,”. With a true showing of its dedication to crypto, Visa has launched its new crypto consulting sector which aims to educate other financial institutions on how to get involved with cryptocurrency and how to make it available on their platforms. Visa has always been an early adopter compared to other institutions and it is undoubtable that other companies will start to follow in the finance giant's footsteps.

Although the market remains stagnant in previous days, the news appears bullish with larger and more powerful figures turning their heads to the crypto space. Thank you for reading, and make sure to tune in tommorow for more crypto headlines!
