The digital token standard ERC-1155 created by 'Enjin'.
This is used to create the both Non-fungible(Game items, Digital cards) and fungible(currencies) assets on Ethereum network.

The founder of 'Enjin' 'Witek Radomski' firstly introduces ERC-1155 on 17 june 2018.
Why they need.
Existing standards ERC-20 needs separate contract per new token.And another ERC-721 is deploys contract only single non-fungible tokens.
After this problem the ERC-1155 comes in picture.
The ERC-1155 standard allows to each token ID to represent a new own configurable token type.Which is it's own supply, Metadata and other attributes.
It is a new way of creation of new tokens.This allows the more efficient trades and building of new transactions.This save various type of cost.
The ERC-1155 tokens are tradable,secure and resists hacking.
You can be sent multiple tokens in a single transaction with ERC-1155 standard.It saves cost of gas and prevents the wait time of each block in single transfer.
Reliable- This magnificent feature of ERC-1155 are made possible because strict set of rules which Mandatory for all tokens.
