The Ripple Effect XRP

I am continuing on my journey of discovery in terms of cryptocurrency.  I find it utterly fascinating, in part due to the fact that I am astounded that I find it fascinating. A mere six-months to a year ago I would have not even considered spending any time paying attention to it. Now, I am looking into it and investing some into multiple cryptocurrencies.  Here is another that has me intrigued.

One of the most intriguing cryptocurrencies to me is XRP - Ripple. I know it is involved in controversy with ongoing litigation with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Ripple appears to be built on a solid foundation regarding blockchain technology to enhance and improve financial services.  I am not technically savvy so you can read more on their website https://ripple.com/

I think it will be very important to watch how the SEC decides the case. Do they deem Ripple a commodity or a security. From my limited understanding of each, I believe Ripple to be a Commodity. A security "produce a return" from a company and commodity is generally a "basic good" to be traded.  Again, I am not a financial wizard, but isn't it clear it is a commodity, a basic (albeit financial) good to be traded. 

I am extremely disappointed that I cannot purchase Ripple on COINBASE at this time due to the ongoing lawsuit. I believe the price will literally skyrocket once the lawsuit is done.   

So far I have looked into Jasmy, Cardano, Algorand, and now Ripple.  I am extremely intrigued by each for very similar reasons, I believe they are built on solid foundations, and have a great future. They are priced to buy and are cheap compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum.  

Again, nothing in this post should be taken as any form of financial advice, or any other advice for that matter. I am just someone who is interested in the idea and am learning as I go. I follow my own principle that anything built on a solid foundation has the potential to be long lasting.
