The Leo/ Hive Earnings Flippening...

Do repost and rate:

Historically I've earned a lot more as an author and curator on Hive compared to LEO. Despite creeping into the T20 LEO earners for the last two months I have only historically ever earned around 8% in LEO compared to what I've earned in Hive per month. Here are my last month's T25 stats (Leo on the left, Hive on the right):

But with LEO rising to and maintaining $0.11 and Hive crashing to $0.17 these percentages are changing dramatically. Here's how my last week's stats stack up, according to Hivestats, factoring in both this account and my alt @revise.leo

So based on last week's stats LEO earnings count for almost 50% of my joint Hive/LEO earnings.

And the curation earnings are approaching parity, probably because I have a larger proportional stake in LEO but also because there's no early curation penalty, so 10% of my curation isn't being returned back to the reward pool!

NB it was the insane curation returns (treble that of Hive relative to my stake) that encouraged me to pile into LEO this summer, and it's paying off (quite literally) very nicely right now.

And this is now my last three posts (closest to pay-out) stack up....

The two dollar columns are what is paid out to me, so just over half of the rewards because around 10-15% goes back to the rewards pool...

Spot the trend towards earning more in LEO, although in fairness I have been targeting writing more about LEO this week, I mean, why wouldn't you!?

(You can find your exact Hive author rewards per post at Hive Tasks btw.)

Final Thoughts: don't forget about the potential for earning through writing and curating on LEO!

I know we're all VERY excited about WLEO, including me, and I'm in on the pool for sure, but let's not forget that there is some good money to be made from the traditional pursuits of writing and curating, especially since there's a shiny new interface that's just been set up - and if you haven't I recommend you check it out - beta.leofinance.io

ATM $2-5 a post may not sound like that much, but don't forget that this is before any crazy price action which could make those values double, treble or even 10 times ($1 LEO isn't that pie in the sky), or if you want to take a longer term view, you can compound those earnings by piling them back in to your stake to increase your curation returns.

Of course I don't know how long this relative improvement in earnings is going to last, I guess the more people pile into LEO as content creators, the less LEO any one individual earns, but then again the more people piling in means more eyes, means more ad revenue, means an increasing LEO price.

Sounds like the early days of pre-Hive right? And I'm sure we all remember what happened to the price there!
