Hey guys! Today, I will be doing a SWOT analysis about the FPS shooter game on the Solana blockchain, EV.IO.
Introduction to EV.IO(For those who don't know about it)
EV.IO is a FPS shooter game on the Solana blockchain. This game is completely free to play and play to earn. EV.IO, unlike other blockchain projects, does not have their own token and rather revolves around NFT's. In order to earn however, someone has to lend you an NFT skin or you yourself have to buy a skin from the Fractal marketplace.
During every game, you are rewarded an in-game currency called e. Once you reach 10,000e, you can withdraw it to around $5 worth of $SOL.
Strengths:
- Free to play: Being a free to play and a play to earn game makes it an extremely attractive game for serious FPS gamers.
- Clear community communication: The developers of EV.IO are very responsive to community feedback on the discord server. They also frequently add new updates and announcements on the discord.
- Stable earnings: While not having their own token might limit their growth during a bull run, this means that during a bear market, their earning potential for the players stays the same. With the conversion rate staying the same $5 (OR maybe more in the future) players can withdraw stable earnings rather than being reliant on the market.
- Ample earning events: EV.IO constantly have tournaments going on in Fractal. These tournaments can either be their bi-season NFT POP (Proof of play) tournaments or just tournaments with cash prizes.
- Partnerships: EV.IO is constantly getting partnerships with various Web 3 companies. These include BRAVE Browser and Bonk Inu.
Weaknesses:
- Weak adoption: If you are completely new to EV.IO, it may be confusing to begin your journey. If someone went on the ev.io website, they will be brought immediately into a match, not knowing any detail about EV.IO. This, unfortunately, will cause some confusion, and thus, a lower adoption of gamers.
- High Indirect competition: If we are being honest here, in terms of the entire FPS game genre, EV.IO is definitely not top tier. And if we are talking about the entire FPS gamer population, EV.IO has to compete with games such as Call of Duty.
Opportunity:
- Entertaining Gameplay: In comparison to many other blockchain games, EV.IO has a fun and fast-paced gameplay that is fit for most gamers.
- Low Direct Competition: In terms of blockchain FPS, EV.IO does not have much competition. If the blockchain FPS game genre is to explode, EV.IO will soak in most of the success.
- Over-dependence on sponsorships: This is a MAJOR threat to EV.IO. While they managed to solve the Ponzi-scheme problem that is present in most blockchain games, their reward emissions are COMPLETELY dependent on the number of sponsors at a time. This, however, has never been an issue in the past and the exchange rate always stayed around $5. "The conversion for

The sponsors flow money into the economy - Lack of self-income: Without partnerships or sponsorships, EV.IO is completely reliant on selling new NFT's and relying on the royalties produced by the Fractal marketplace. If they keep on selling new NFT's for income the NFT's will lose value.
In my opinion, EV.IO is a great blockchain game to get into. When I first began playing this game, I was smitten by the fast-paced gameplay that EV.IO offered in comparison to many other blockchain games.
I do believe that EV.IO will absolutely explode during the bull market, and the best part about it is that you don't even have to invest your portfolio to be invested in this project!
