Sunflower Land Game: 1 Month Review

Do repost and rate:

I recently wrote a post about starting out with a NFT based game called Sunflower land and getting hooked to it from the first day of playing. The reason why I found it really appealing from the beginning was that it was really different from the other NFT based games out there who were mainly based on similar concept of building card decks and competing against opponents. It was very similar to Farmville that requires you to grow vegetables and fruits to grow you land. The key difference being that Sunflower land runs on the polygon blockchain so all your NFTs are stored there and there is an option to trade or sell your items on the marketplace.

Feedback on Game after a Month of Playing

I have been playing the game daily for over a month now. You get daily chest rewards so I make sure to check in every day to claim my rewards. Also you need to plan your crops according to a cycle. I have developed a routine of playing it for 15 minutes every morning before I start my 9 to 6 job. I balance it with the 15 minutes I spend daily playing SPLINTERLANDS to make sure I use the 30 mins free time I have in the morning judiciously between these 2 games.

The native token of the game is SFL token which is worth about $0.05 at the time of writing this post. There is already liquidity pools available so you can trade this at Quickswap but so far I am reinvesting all my earnings back into the game to expand my land so I maximise my earning potential for the future. Looking at the developments happing in the game ecosystem I have a strong hunch this game is going to explode in the next bull run.

The gameplay involves using the vegetables and fruits you grow in your land to make different recipes like dishes, cakes, juices etc. These items can then be used to make deliveries within the game to earn SFL tokens. You also get to open a reward chest every day which can give different random items including SFL tokens at times.

They also have added many additional features like a treasure island where you can dig to receive random rewards. They have special events during seasons like Halloween. You can mint special NFTs that boost the growth in your land. Recently they are running a fishing season where you can go fishing to catch random fishes. The fish you catch can you used to complete deliveries to earn SFL tokens.

Play 2 Earn Potential

Now coming to the big question of what is the $ earning potential of the game. Honestly speaking the current earning potential is very low and taking out the gas money spent and fees spent for restocking your vegetable seeds the net profit you make will be very low and at the early phase of play it can also be negative. My recommendation is to play the game only if you enjoy the gameplay. If you are looking for a purely Play2Earn game then this will not be a good pick at least at the moment. I strongly think once the bull market kicks in then the SFL price will appreciate and players will be able to generate a profit but yes that is at the moment pure speculation.

My personal strategy at the moment is to keep playing regularly and to keep investing my earnings to expand my land bigger and bigger so once the bull market has set in well I am in a good position to reap juicy rewards.

Be careful not to create multiple accounts as the devs are very strict about having one account per person. If they find anyone using bots or running multiple accounts they ban them.

If you have already been playing this game for a long time and would like to add any pointers or tips feel free to add it in the comments.
