Opensea vs Blur : The war begins
The rise of blur is a serious concern for OPENSEA the Largest NFTs Marketplace, but suddenly blur has overtake in daily nfts trading volume and also allow their users to redeem their token Blur that has crossed $ 1 in just past 2 days. Not only that opensea also announce NFT royalties for creators are no longer a thing. A lot of NFT projects going to go under because their utility relies on the income from royalties ... and that income just got ashed out.
Blur airdropped it's Blur token to more than 100,000 NFTs traders and then advised NFTs project creators to block opensea. From last one year opensea changed his royalties approaches numbers of times , one of these that it will honour full royalty settings on all NFT projects created before a certain date in January 2023, but only enforce royalties going forward for new projects that utilized an on-chain enforcement tool.
Where Blur recommended that NFT creators block secondary trades on OpenSea, saying that it would only enforce full royalty settings for projects that banned OpenSea. Blur framed the move as pushback to OpenSea’s own decisions.
