It has been a little bit since I last updated yall about my experience stacking sats with the help of the FOLD App. Earlier this year Fold began to roll out its Debit Card and when it first came out really the big benefits of it mostly came from using the debit card to actually buy gift cards on the app as this let you stack them already! You would get the percent back of that buying the gift card offered and then also were able to spin for the bonus of using your debt card.
Thankfully further utilization has rolled out for the debt card making it much more usable to pay for dinner or other expenses that they do not offer gift cards for. While there is a free option for the debt card you do not have all of the features and enjoy the full benefit that you could. While the upfront cost might sound a little prices at $150 USD a year you are able to receive at least 1% back in sats per purchase. With the free version this is much lower as you only get back 0.25% back in sats.
Another key key benefit that I heavily use is that you can "buy" up to $500 USD in Amazon gift cards and these come with an immediate 5% back in sats. This becomes an automatic 6% with the spin which also offers an additional boost that could range from 0.1% back to 100% back. While you have a 20% chance of also just landing on the baserate all of the other options are pretty big sat gains! It pretty common for my to get back 6.5% back at least on Amazon gift cards which then gives me the ability to purchase from a wide wide aray of other giftcards that Amazon offers.
Spin+, what they call the premium of $150 USD version of Fold, also has the ability to win 100% back in sats while if you hit this wedge when you just have the free basic card it is only 25%. Now that is still a lot back but it easily could have been more! Since I have had my card I have easily easily gotten back the $150 and now I actually aquire Bitcoin this way over purchasing it itself. Since I use the card pretty often the cost is quickly justifiable and has allowed me to stack several hundred thousand more sats then I otherwise would have been able to. The extra spins really come in handy!
