Some reasons why TESLA and Elon Musk's involvement in cryptocurrency are bad

TESLA recently made it known to the world that they had bought $1.5 billion dollars worth of Bitcoin too largely positive press and excitement in the crypto community. This has led to even more hype around Elon Musk and praise for his visionary genius. This has been most notable with cryptocurrency influencer Tyler Swope of Chico Crypto, who has been covering Elon Musk's 'links' to crypto even prior to the TESLA buys. Increasingly one can see Elon being touted as Satoshi Nakamato himself with links to various altcoins and mining projects as well as the king Bitcoin.  Chico has over 19 videos covering Elon and cryptocurrency. As someone who prides himself on not being a shill and a great researcher these videos are for the most part speculative and shilling trash. One may think that because we do not know who Satoshi Nakmoto is with any certainty Elon Musk is at least a contender. I'll demonstrate why he almost certainly is not in this post contrary to Chico and many others claims.

For starters we know that Satoshi was British most likely from London. We know this from the timestamp analysis of all his posts on Bitcointalk. The Bitcoin whitepaper is also written in British English- Elon Musk has never lived in England and does not use British English. Satoshi also uses double space at the beginning of each sentence habitually something Elon does not do. For those who claim Elon's paypal link make him an obvious contender he was fired as Paypal CEO in 2000 and had no involvement in the company after 2003,  so even if Paypal were behind the creation of Bitcoin (which is unlikely due to consistency in code which indicates one creator rather than a team) Elon's involvement would have been limited at best and most likely non-existent seeing as Bitcoin was released in 2008. None of this stops Chico claiming that Elon is Satoshi though, and this is even after touting Sergey Nazarov co-founder of chainlink as Satoshi. Elon's lack of cryptography skill does nothing to hold back Chico or the Elon cult claiming him as Satoshi either, he has not made a single widely acknowledged contribution to cryptography yet is the man behind Bitcoin? I don't think so! That both Elon and Nazarov are falsely claimed by Chico to be Nakamato is no coincidence, they both happen to have connections to all of his favorite altcoins! Selling his audience the falsehoods of Satoshi having connections to these altcoins causes his audience to pump them giving Chico a nice pay day- this is the worst kind of shilling and is terrible for crypto.

If Tyler wanted to learn how to actually do cryptocurrency research they would watch excellent videos from the likes of Barely Sociable who just so happens to have a 3 part series on Satoshi Nakamato which goes into great depth and explains how Adam Back is the most likely candidate. I found it convincing and informative, this kind of content is exactly what the cryptocurrency community deserves! Give the final part a watch here if you just want an explanation of why Adam Back is Satoshi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfcvX0P1b5g though I advise watching the whole 3 parts.

It's also worth noting that the folks being on boarded via TESLA to crypto are for the most part financial illiterates who have created one of the largest and most absurd bubbles in stock market history with TESLA. Its a company which is only alive today due to billions in government subsidy and support (no other publicly traded company comes to mind as having 12+ years of loss and still trading), and with a market valuation of the all the worlds leading auto makers combined with only a 0.8% marketshare of the electric vehicle space let alone cars generally. A business which is only alive due to massive government support being the light-bearer and advocate for crypto is probably not what Satoshi hoped for when creating an alternative to government fiat currency.

I hope we see more corporations getting into Bitcoin, I certainly see a lot of issues with TESLA and Elon coming in though, which few seem to want to acknowledge. Hopefully this post will make you more skeptical of the claims of many related to this and Elon's involvement in crypto; and have supplied you with some reasons to think TESLA and Elon Musk's involvement in crypto are bad.
