The world's largest slot machine maker, International Game Technology Plc (IGT), is looking at giving cryptocurrency as a pay-out choice in its Megabucks and Wheel of Fortune casino games.

IGT received this week from the US Patent and Trademark Office, the license US 010885470 to transfer cryptocurrencies from the accounting of a player, within a gaming establishment (casino), to a slot machine using their phones, according to a review. Bloomberg.

The corporation, which in 2015 obtained revenues of USD 4,690 million, thinks that this move would help to attract more adolescent players. The pandemic disease Covid-19 has increased interest in bitcoin, especially among millennials, with around 44% of them planning to market the currency in the next 5 years, according to the survey carried out in October 2020.

More now that the costs of Bitcoin and Ethereum and other altcoins have risen, players are going to have a look at their luck with cryptocurrencies. In 2020, the Nevada Gaming Commission made it easy for casinos to introduce cashless systems, and IGT obtained regulatory approval for the use of cashless wallets in slot machines.

According to an analysis published by CoinMarketCap in July 2020, cryptocurrency casinos have seen a growth in the use of this asset. As all payments are made in cryptocurrencies, no fees are used once users deposit and withdraw from their multi-currency account.
