After explaining the complexity of what they are and how digital currency works,
with most, that puzzled look pops up, then followed by some silence, and finally the "it's a scam" reply usually follows..
It is unfortunate that most only see that their own country's centralized currency as the one and only form of money.
One reason is because they can hold it in is own physical form like paper or coins, whereas crypto is digital.
And everyone in the crypto world knows that person. Now that person is not a moron, just a Crypto-Layman.

For some, it is just difficult to absorb and understand the "what" and "how" cryptocurrencies work.
And even harder when a favorite celebrity they follow said that they have "Fallen out of love" with or stated that "Cryptocurrencies are just a scam".
It is hard for most to accept digital currency after explaining how a blockchain is just a complex computer program with basic purposes as a LEDGER of addresses and transactions.
And again, it really has no physical form to hold like a US dollar and it is supply, demand, and usage that determines it's value.
So it is understandable to be so skeptical about it.
If the have heard of cryptocurrency, it's usually just Bitcoin as the only one they've heard about.
So explaining the simple differences with Gran-daddy BTC, Altcoins and NFT's, was a bit too much for them to handle.
So to simplify it with any crypto conversation, I simply started saying:
. "It's Money"
And that became just the right thing to say to a Crypto-Layman.
Now many still didn't want to let go of the cash in their pockets, it was silly to them to spend it on something they couldn't hold.
Even though they would drop their money, without hesitation, on game DLCs(downloadable content).
I mean, if you are finished with a game because of better game, what happens to the DLCs from the old game?
You can't trade those, so bye-bye money.
But if you had some crypto, wanted a different crypto, there is always a market for that...
So the best way to remove the worry of lost funds was to show the Crypto-laymen the possibilities of how and where they can get their digital money without paying for it.
