Elon Musk acquiring Twitter ought to be something far removed from my existence, except that I owned $1+ of $DOGE. I happened to check my Gemini account (https://gemini.com/share/ppkd6ra39) the night his takeover was announced, and boy, what a surprising sight met my eyes! DOGE was pumping 36%! This explained why I had about $2 worth of DOGE.
I thought maybe I should have waited longer but gave in to my desire of taking profits there and then. So, I converted my $DOGE to $BTC promptly. I was a successful trader because I was on the right side of “buy the rumour” and struck while the iron was hot!
Since I have always wanted to buy some $GUSD due to its more-lucrative-than-most 5.92% APY, I swapped $BTC for $GUSD and deposited it in the Earn programme.
Well, I guess I am reasonably confident that Gemini won’t unfold, given that it is given permission to operate in New York. But anyway, it’s chump change, so I will just play with it and see if this seed will grow further under my loving cultivation.
