I started putting serious minutes, ok maybe hours, into Bitcoin faucets and related websites about a month ago. I knew it would be pocket money at best, but just how much did I actually make in these past 31 days? And how could this get me near term and long term?
Time and effort I put in
The two Bitcoin faucets I have been using, probably the two best known crypto faucets at this point, are Coinpot and Cointiply.
For Coinpot, I make sure to maximize the 7 faucets it's using: Bitcoin Core, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, BitFun and BonusBitcoin. To rake extra Coinpot Tokens (CT), I try to get the most out of the different Challenges at reach for the time I have. I’m trying to complete the following challenges every day: 100 faucet claims, 100,000 Multiplier rolls and 100,000 CT staked, for an extra 2,200 CTs total. Once in a while, I complete one of the BitFun Wannads surveys for a few thousands extra Satoshi. They pay relatively well on average.
On Cointiply, I’m rolling the faucet wheel several times a day, usually 10-12 times. In addition, I complete 30 minutes to an hour worth of surveys spread throughout the day (morning, lunch break and evening). I have bought a few pods and the items (equipables or consumables) pulled out really help in the long run boosting the coins I collected. Finally, I maxed out the PTC & quick video adds almost every day. These can be done almost anytime you have 30 secs to kill, it’s very easy via the mobile app.
So between all the faucet clicks and surveys, I must have spent an average of ~1:30 hours per day. That number may be a little bit higher on week days, and a little bit lower on weekends.
How many Sats did I get?
Just how much did I make and how is that getting me closer to my one million Satoshi goal? There it is.
- I have safely and completely withdrawn 295,543 Satoshi to my Bitcoin wallet. These Sats were only coming from Cointpot and Cointiply. This is about $31.54 (given exchange rate as of 09/25/2020).
- In addition to this, I have 155,448 Sats (or equivalent) on my Coinpot and COINTIPLY accounts.
Total Satoshi earned during these 31 days:
450,991 Satoshi, or about $48.16
What's next
In a good way, I’m rather surprised by that number. Not only I intend to perform at least just as good in the coming months, but the margin of progression is still substantial even without increasing my daily time and efforts committed to crypto faucets.
My loyalty rewards, the incremental % bonus on every faucet claims from either Cointiply or Coinpot faucets, will keep going up. From 31% at the moment, that number will double to 62% next month. This is a non-negligible bonus that is not costing me anything to get. This is napkin math here but still, an additional 31 percentage points in my loyalty faucet claims correspond to 250 to 400 more Sats per day. In the long run, this matters a lot.
I’m also planning on reaching 100,00 Coinpot Tokens by the beginning of October to enjoy the benefits associated with the Bronze VIP level. This will translate into earning 4 CTs for each faucet claims instead of 3 now and doubling the daily passive interest reward on CT balance (from 0.02% currently to 0.04%). These numbers may not look impressive but here as well, the compounding effect in the long run is really huge.
On Cointiply, I’m currently level 53, which means I still have one equipable item slot to unlock. This last slot opens at level 71 and I’m planning on getting there sometimes next month. I will be able to equip a fourth item to boost my Offer Walls bonus. This will be another lifetime 2-4% bonus on all coins earned from surveys.

Once all these loyalty and earning boost bonuses are maxed out, and without changing much of the time I can dedicate to this, I think that making 1,000,000 (one million) Satoshi per month should be easily doable. Verdict in a few months. Ironically, I will clearly have to revisit my One Million Satoshi goal, maybe change it to One Billion Satoshi!
