My experience with Cryptohopper
There are many opinions about trading cryptocurrencies, using bots to trade and methods. This is not financial advice; I am providing information that may help people sort through some decisions. In sorting through the abundance of information, I came across Cryptohopper which is a platform for automated cryptocurrency trading. I had many questions when I first discovered Cryptohopper about two years ago. As I looked for answers, I found many people asking questions too. Hopefully, this post can help people going through the discovery phase I went through.
Is Cryptohopper legit?
Yes, the platform is robust and comprehensive. There are good and bad things about Cryptohopper just like any other product, but my experience has been positive. If you doubt my opinion, then use the free trial to verify for yourself. There is also an active community and support for Cryptohopper. They have clearly listed subscription prices if you choose to continue with their service. Also, it cannot really be a scam because you only give it your API-key. That means it can only trade for you, it cannot withdraw any funds (it could, but only if you allow withdrawal, so do not do that).
Can I trust a trading bot?
Yes, but only if you set up the proper configuration. There are also outside signal services that can be added on for a range of prices. Cryptohopper has a relatively simple interface and can be set up by users without much trading experience. It is less technical than some of the other bots.
Is anybody using Cryptohopper and making a profit?
I have been using Cryptohopper for a few years and making a profit. The first few months were mainly about learning about trading and the way I wanted the bot to trade. There is no way to guarantee profit from Cryptohopper. You are the one in control of your bot (called the hopper) so it really comes down to your trading strategy. However, you can subscribe to signalers for buy and sell signals, but you are still the one who sets the hopper’s parameters. Personally, I love that the hopper trades 24/7. I trade during the day, but I must get rest at some point. It is awesome to wake up to Cryptohopper alerts showing buys and sells. Literally making money in my sleep!
