Ledger Nano X: Unboxing

Do repost and rate:

Today, the best way to keep your cryptocurrency investments safe is to use a 'Hardware Wallet'. In a previous post I made a comparison of what I thought were the best hardware wallets on the market.

Secure your cryptocurrencies! Hardware wallets

Now I am going to present you the 'Unboxing' of the LEDGER Nano X. I have decided to purchase this hardware wallet because I think it is one of the best on the market.

The purchase

The first step was to access the official Ledger store to acquire this model (when you buy a wallet of this type, I recommend that you do it on the manufacturer's official website, to avoid possible hacked wallets and that you lose your investments):

Ledger Website

From here, we simply select the wallet we want to acquire, enter our data, and complete the purchase process. Then, waiting for us to get home, which in my case was a wait of only 3 days!

The Unboxing

The Ledger Nano X box comes from the factory perfectly sealed with plastic, which indicates that it has not been subsequently tampered with.

This box is not very big, 130x80x35 mm.

After removing the plastic seal, we separate the box from its cover, and lift the lid. At first glance, inside we only see the Ledger Nano X.

.

If we now lift the part that contains the Ledger Nano X, we can see that there are more things: a small folder with the set-up instructions, and some cards to write down the 24 words of the seed.

If we now extract this small folder, we find the cable that allows us to connect the Ledger Nano X to the computer (to charge it and to be able to use the Desktop version of Ledger Live) and a small accessory to hang the Ledger Nano X.

And of course, here we have the main protagonist: the Ledger Nano X.

Design

I quite liked its design. It is compact and seems quite robust (it has a metal cover that can protect it from shocks), the screen it has looks quite good, it has two buttons to navigate between the menus and to confirm operations.

Price

The price of the Ledger Nano X is €119.0, although looking online I found a discount code of 20%, so the final price was about €95.

Start up

After placing the order, I received 4 emails from the ledger support showing how to use the Ledger Nano X, how to configure it, connect it via Bluetooth to our mobile or by cable to our computer and the Ledger Live application, ...

1st video. How to download Ledger Live and setup Ledger Nano X

2nd video. Install crypto apps on Ledger Nano X

3rd video. How to transfer funds from an exchange to Ledger Nano X

Four videos are presented here, as it shows the connection with four exchanges: Binance, Coinbase, Poloniex, and Kraken.

4th video. How to earn money while holding crypto assets

More than a video, it is about links to the ledger website to learn how to stack.

Conclusions

I have just started using the Ledger Nano X, but the first impressions have been good. It looks quite robust and secure when making transactions. The next step is to start using Ledger Live thoroughly and see how buying cryptocurrencies through Conify works.
