Quite recently, I discovered what others had known long before. It's about fractals.

What is this fractal?

Fractals were invented by mathematicians somehow at the beginning of the 20th century, a relatively long time ago.

These are sets that allow you to model objects and phenomena in nature using mathematics and geometry. This is the easiest way to explain it.

How does this relate to art?

Well, we don't even realize how mathematics and geometry are inseparable from the entire universe, and therefore also with what surrounds us and with ourselves.

Simply put, pattern repetition is the basis of fractal structures.

Fractal structures of infinite complexity and diversity are ubiquitous throughout nature. Snails building spiral, almost always right-handed, shells; plants that follow certain fractal algorithms in their developing shapes; the structure of bird feathers, patterns on the skin of reptiles and even our fingerprints. Look at the sand waves in the desert, galaxy spirals and nebulae regions. There you will find fractal structures everywhere.

It's amazing to realize this.

The development of fractal geometry took place in the second half of the twentieth century, when computers began to be more and more modern, and their computing power allowed for an infinite number of complex calculations.

The biggest contributor to the development of fractal geometry was Benoit Mandelbrot, a French mathematician of Polish origin (I have always said that Poles are extremely talented).

Well, Mandelbrot began to investigate certain square polynomials. By iterating on an IBM computer, one of the simple polynomials (Z = Z? + C) discovered a set that quickly became the most famous fractal.

By browsing this fractal pic and enlarging it, you can infinitely enlarge the area of ??the Mandelbrot collection and you will always meet the form of its whole somewhere, surrounded by a different system of patterns and insets each time.

I created my first fractal image on the basis of the Mandelbrot fractal, in which my favorite LadySkull

LadySkull felt great among fractals.

She jumped happily into this unknown world.

She will definitely get to know him.

If you are interested in this topic, you can use many programs to generate fractal images.

I used this program:

https://math.hws.edu/eck/js/mandelbrot/MB.html?ex=examples%2fcrazy.xml

It is very intuitive and gives you an infinite number of possibilities to create images, just as the universe is infinite.
