Supposedly Warren Buffett said that investors blow themselves up in three ways.
Ladies, liquor, and leverage.
I don’t know how true this is but it sounds about right.
Any one of these are lethal to male investors.
But a combination?!?
Years ago during a visit to a Macau casino, I noticed how extravagant the casino areas were.
Lavish entrances, built in luxury stores, and strategically placed alcohol served by unusually attractive staff.
A deadly mix of greed, lust, and libations in one convenient place.
Casino designers are no fools. It’s all part of the plan to separate people from their money.
Drunk, uninhabited folks (mostly dudes) with too much money usually exit with lighter wallets.
Of course lonely men want company after hard day of gambling.
They don’t have to walk too far!
“Business” women walk the streets outside of these sinful establishments to get their slice of the action.
Of course you can enjoy these type of sins closer to home if you’re an American.

Degeneracy costs a lot of money!
Even the plebs can gamble from the comfort of their own home (cardboard box soon???).
Fire up your favorite trading platform (TradFi, CeFi, or DeFi) and toss your hard earned money away!

The biggest killer of would be winners is leverage trading. Now is definitely NOT a good time to be borrowing from your broker to fund your “investments”.
The only bad thing about DeFi is that it has a bad habit of attracting degenerates.
Leverage trading platforms remained popular even in a bear market. Imagine what it’ll look like in a bull market!
The good thing is that code is law in DeFi.
If you don’t pay back your loan your collateral is liquidated.
No deadbeats or begging allowed in DeFi sers!

The US stock markets (the largest casino???) will soon offer a new game to separate fools from their money.
The Bitcoin spot ETFs will be fine for speculation.
Bitcoin has powered through to the $35,000 level in anticipation.
If you want to gamble using the Bitcoin ETFs I can’t stop you. But keep it small relative to your actual Bitcoin holdings.
Keep access to your actual satoshis in a hardware wallet or even cold storage.
There’s no reason to gamble in stock market or crypto markets for that matter.
If you have the urge to gamble save up for a Vegas vacation. At least you might get a chance to score free drinks.
