Is Crypto Still Worth It?

Metamask blocked access to users from Iran and Venezuela. Ripple CEO said they will respect US sanctions over Russia and hence Ripple will not be an alternative to SWIFT for Russians. Whatever your opinion over these countries and sanctions, the US companies involved in blockchain and cryptos have shown their alignment with US authorities instead of playing their role of Web 3.0 decentralized entities. So, where is the decentralization dream?

It depends which one we are talking about. XRP has to be considered as securities issued by Ripple. The other coins need to be analyzed on a case-by-case basis: are they mostly control by one entity like Ripple for XRP? Can they be handled through another interface than METAMASK which is, unlike Metamask, still open source? What is the utility of the coin in the Web 3.0 environment?

By analyzing cryptos with these key questions, we can find a few coins which are really decentralized, can be handled through open source tools, and have a real utility, e.g., BTC, XTZ, ATOM or... You may propose some really decentralized coins in comments.
