IDENA allows the proof of human that proofs uniqueness for its participants which is called Proof of Person (PoP).
At IDENA there is a regular "ritual" to validate that the knot truly belongs to a person and not a machine.
This ritual happens, at this moment, it happens every 15 days and always at 13:30 UCT time.
These rituals are called epoch and happen, at this moment, more or less every 15 days at 13:30 UCT Time. The validation time is fixed but the frequency can vary depending on the number of nodes in the network.
In these rituals, users have to solve a flips-puzzle, which consists of choosing a correct series of images that tell a mini story that are easy for humans but difficult for robots..
These rituals have 2 sessions:
- Short Session: where the human has 2 minutes to solve the flips-challenge;
- Long Session: where the human has 30 minutes to validate if a quantity of flips has good quality or not.
The validation of the node, the result of epochs, is not forever since it has to be renewed with each epoch session that exists.
In order to participate in the next epochs, it will be necessary to create a certain amount of flips.
A node has different states:
Candidate is a participant who has just joined the network through an invite code given by other participants in the network and waits for the next epoch to do the sessions;
After successfully completing the first epoch, the status of the node is passed to Newbie.
In this new status of Newbie is when the node can start mining idna, creating flips but if a validation session fails, your identity is destroyed and you will have to do everything from the beginning.
The next status is Verified, which is achieved after solving more than 12 flips and having at least 75% accuracy or more, has all the "perks" of the Newbie state plus the fact that you can invite other people, submit an extra flip and you can still fail two validations in a row without destroying your identity.
However, if it appears in the validation, neither the short session nor the Long Session can fail.
Finally, the highest status is Human, which is achieved when solving 24 or more flips and having a 92% minimum hit, which allows everything Verified has the most possibility to submit 2 more flips (total 5) and be able to fail a short and long session without your identity being destroyed.
I am very interested in IDENA, as it allows you to participate in mining and be part of the network without having to wear out your hardware or having to invest a large amount of money in equipment.
This allows more people to actually be part of the network without being discriminated against for financial reasons.
I already installed my node on the computer and the invitation validated.
